About SoZoShi
Japan, a country with a distinctive culture, rich in both history and inovation. And creativity has always been at the heart of it, spanning from traditional crafts to pop culture sculptures.
Yet, though renowned for its intricacy and quality, there is an aspect which rarely is translated. And that is depth. The extreme fathoms Japanese artisans dive while in their creative process is unimaginably deep.
For example, traditional art forms, such as pottery and caligraphy to name a few, have been refined over hundreds of years, encompassing generations. Pop culture pieces, like manga and garage kit figures, are made logically coherent with never-told backstories and settings that are as much in detail as the real world.
Yet the wonderful, and sometimes strange, results of this gruesome but epic aspect are rarely beheld by the world. There are many reasons for the scarcity, but it all boils down to one major obstacle, the language barrier.
SoZoShi aims to bridge the gap by giving exposure to Japanese creations and their artists through internet media in English, displaying pieces at shows around the globe, selling selected works online and acting as an agent for all commissioned projects from abroad.
We present to you SoZoShi, where the world meets Japan's masterpieces.
